OLED Technology

  What is OLED technology? How it is different from LED? Discuss its various uses. OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) is a flat light emitting technology, made by placing a series of organic thin films between two conductors. When electrical current is applied, a bright light is emitted.   NASA – ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) NASA-ISRO SAR (NISAR) is a joint collaboration for a dual-frequency L and S-band SAR for earth observation. NISAR will be the first satellite mission to use two different radar frequencies (L-band and S-band) to measure changes in our planet’s surface less than a centimetre across NASA and Bengaluru-headquartered ISRO signed a partnership on September 30, 2014, to collaborate on and launch NISAR. The mission is targeted to launch in early 2022 from ISRO’s Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district, about 100km north of Chennai. NASA is providing the mission’s L-band SAR, a high-rate communication subsystem for science data, GPS receivers, a solid-state recorder and payload data subsystem.   Lunar Polar Exploration(LUPEX) Mission. LUPEX  robotic lunar mission concept ISRO and JAXA. Aims  to send a lander and rover to the Moon’s south pole around 2024. It would send a lunar rover and lander to explore the South Pole region of the Moon in 2024. JAXA is likely to provide the under-development H3 launch vehicle and the rover  ISRO would be responsible for the lander. The Lunar Polar Exploration mission would demonstrate new surface exploration technologies related to vehicular transport and lunar night survival for sustainable lunar exploration in Polar Regions.

About Solid Fuel Ducted Ramjet (SFDR) Technology: Developed by: Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) SFDR technology is a missile propulsion system based on the concept of Ramjet Engine principle. The system utilises a solid fuelled air-breathing ramjet engine. DRDO began developing SFDR first in 2017 and had conducted successful tests in 2018 and 2019 as well.
